What is the best sim racing setup for beginners in India?
The foundation of any serious setup is the rig — your seating position has to replicate a real race car. That's why we designed our cockpits using actual race car ergonomics. From there, pair it with quality pedals (Conspit or VNM load cells with at least 40-50 kg force capability) and a direct drive wheel base with a minimum of 12Nm torque. While 8Nm is the absolute floor, it's barely enough — 12Nm is where real training begins. For tighter budgets, Moza and Fanatec offer capable entry points into direct drive, but we strongly recommend saving for 12Nm+.

What are the best direct drive wheel bases available in India?
For wheels (steering wheels), Conspit makes the best — genuinely on par with any top brand globally. For wheel bases (the motor unit), VNM leads with options up to 25Nm and 32Nm, plus their exclusive telemetry mode which provides additional force feedback data from the simulation. Conspit wheelbases go up to 20Nm and are excellent. Our recommendation: 12Nm is the real minimum for serious training (8Nm is barely enough), 18Nm+ for enthusiasts, and 25-32Nm for professional-grade realism. Why does RaceSims recommend Conspit pedals?
Conspit pedals replicate real racing car brake systems. Their hydraulic pedals offer progressive resistance matching a GT3 or formula car — though there's no functional difference between Conspit's hydraulic and non-hydraulic pedals, both perform excellently. VNM pedals are also very good and offer excellent value. For realistic feel, pedals should handle at least 40-50 kg of braking force.
What makes RaceSims cockpits different from other rigs?
We manufacture our cockpits in India to international standards — we're not just resellers. Our rigs are designed using real-world race car experience to replicate the exact seating position of an actual race car. This matters because different muscle groups activate depending on your hand, leg, and body position. If your sim rig position doesn't match a real car, you're training the wrong muscles. What seats does RaceSims offer?
We import FIA-grade seats — the same seats used in actual race and rally cars. We offer fixed-back seats (normal and XL sizes) and recliner options. They're extremely comfortable and high-end. We also list one affordable local seat at around ₹15,000 for budget-conscious buyers, but we always recommend the FIA-grade options.

Can sim racing help you become a faster racing driver?
Yes — the key is that your equipment must be realistic enough for skill transfer. That means correct seating position (which our rig provides), sufficient force feedback (12Nm minimum, ideally 18Nm+), and quality load cell pedals (40-50 kg force). Sim racing develops trail braking, racing line consistency, racecraft, throttle modulation, and circuit learning. Do professional racing teams in India use sim racing?

Technical Questions
Direct drive vs belt-drive wheel?
Belt-drive adds friction and delay. Direct drive connects the motor directly to the shaft — instant, precise feedback. For serious training, direct drive with at least 12Nm is strongly recommended. VNM offers up to 32Nm with telemetry mode.
What PC specs for sim racing in India?
Minimum: i5/Ryzen 5, 16GB RAM, GTX 1660/RTX 3060, SSD. Recommended: i7/Ryzen 7, 32GB RAM, RTX 4070+. Triple/VR: RTX 4080+. Use a voltage stabilizer.
What are load cell pedals?
They measure braking force (pressure), not distance — like real race car brakes. The single most impactful upgrade. Pedals should handle 40-50 kg force minimum. Both Conspit and VNM offer excellent load cells through RaceSims.
Do I need a cockpit/rig?
The rig is the most important component. Your seating position determines which muscle groups you use and whether skills transfer to a real car. Our cockpits replicate real race car ergonomics — no other Indian rig does this.
